BODEGAS Y VIÑEDOS MONFIL S.L. is a company belongs to Mateo´s Family, with a long tradition in the wine´s word accross to three gerenations, it was set up in 1943 for Victor Mateo and during these years it hasn´t given up working with elaboration and raising wines. And three years ago, the family decided to bottle up his own wine. Before the family, since the beginning of the century, dedicated to spirits and wine´s elaborations.

The brand of our Monfil´s wines is dued to the surname of our great - grandmother Carmen Monfil, her family was owner of large vineyards in Cariñena : Nowadays the family has his own vienyards with varieties in garnacha, tempranillo, cariñena o mozuela and cabernet.

The three Mateo´s brother are working in the wine cellar actually, Maria Mateo is an Export Area Director, Ana Mateo is a Trade and Marketing Director and Victor Mateo is a Manager Director ; presiding the company our father Victor Mateo our president, has been for 20 years the Chairman in the Association of Managers of Aragon´s Wine, and the King of Spain,Juan Carlos I , grant him the Agricultural Merit Order with the tittle of " Commander".
